Michelle & Erica's Birthday

What fine chance that these two best friends have birthdays on the same day... Well for Justin and I anyway... Two men muddling through ideas of what to do for their other halves is just that little easier - although still requiring several 'planning sessions' in the bar.

Our Canal du Midi cruise hit the spot. We started with a great lunch on the shady terrace of Chez L'Eclusier at Colombiers. It was then just a short stroll to take possession of our 12 berth vessel from Rive de France.

Our motley crew's only sea legs was Justin (a Royal Navy trained chef who suffered from sea-sickness...), who paid full attention to the briefing - and then we were off.

Moderate wine consumption commenced as we became accustomed and our confidencce grew - culminating in Michelle demonstrating how 'to take a corner' (at 4 knots), simultaneously taking out several unsuspecting trees and sunhats. Next year I suspect we'll be sticking to dry land.
