Messing about on the river

Headed out this weekend for Roquebrun, 30 minutes north of Maison Dix. The three-hour canoe journey down the River Orb is a thoroughly enjoyable pastime. Whilst the weather and scenery provides a superb backdrop, nothing could have prepared us for the variety of capsizes, collisions, and dunkings (and ongoing husband/wife debate about who was to blame). Either way we knew it it would not be long before we found ourselves in the drink - much needed refreshment from the summer sun.

Much fun had by all, but if you find yourself on the Orb or Herault in a canoe - do remember to tightly tie your specs and footwear on!)
