Our Lac du Salagou circuit

Managed to drag Erica up to the Lac at Clermont L'Herualt this weekend. It was a beautiful morning and I persuaded her to take the bikes and, after some debate, we agreed to complete the full 26km circuit...

The varied countryside was stunning. We managed to navigate moonscape, deep wooded pathways, rolling hillside ... and mountain. All this within a few meters of the waterside.

Only one scrape, when E had to swerve (and subsequently bail) to avoid an over-friendly Labrador (in actual fact he was well over 5 meters away...). Another scrape avoided when a very helpful french chap appeared to pull her up a steep rock incline outside his front door.

Started out at 8.00am. Enjoyed the views and weather during our alfresco breakfast mid-morning. All done (well and truly...) by midday. Home for much needed mid-afternoon snooze.
